Restore Your Smile and Confidence With Dentures

Restore your smile with dentures FrankstonHave you considered replacing your existing denture that doesn’t feel right in your mouth? Perhaps you have missing teeth but aren’t sure what to do about it. At Dental & Dentures on 88 Beach, we work with people to restore their beautiful smiles and enhance their self-confidence.

Our dentures are custom-created for each individual. In addition to full or partial dentures, we can also provide you with implant-supported dentures. No matter which you choose, you can feel confident that your denture will be stable, secure and comfortable.

Do You Need a Partial Denture?

A partial denture replaces some teeth that are missing while working around the teeth you have remaining. We don’t want to remove healthy, vital teeth. Instead, you can have a partial that fits into them. It will clasp into place around your existing teeth, which help to anchor the partial denture.

The frame for your partial denture can be created from pink acrylic or cobalt chrome. Acrylic is most often used for people who are replacing just one missing tooth or as an interim option. Cobalt chrome is better for long-lasting results. The replacement teeth are placed on top of the denture’s frame.

The many reasons to have a partial denture include

  • A temporary solution before having dental implants
  • To avoid having healthy teeth extracted
  • A quick tooth replacement
  • No surgery necessary
  • Affordability
  • Blends in with your remaining teeth

Is a Complete Denture Right for You?

A complete denture replaces all of your teeth. If you no longer have any left or require remaining teeth to be removed, a full denture is best for you. The denture rests directly on your gums and stays put by suction. You’ll remove them at night to soak them in a cleaning solution, then insert them again in the morning.

Please note that it can take a few weeks to get used to wearing your new denture. Be sure to cut food into small bites and practice speaking in front of the mirror to become accustomed to them as quickly as possible.

Discover Implant-Supported Dentures

With as few as four dental implants, you can have your denture securely attached. You can feel confident that when a denture is placed on implants, it won’t slip out of place. They’re only removed when you come to see your dentist. You can also choose to have a denture that snaps on or off if you prefer.

Your implants will be surgically placed as the first step. When they have healed, you’ll return to us to have your denture designed. After our laboratory creates your denture, you can start wearing it, attached directly to the implants.

Designing Your Denture

When you meet with your dentist, you will discuss all denture types and materials. You’ll work together to decide what is best for your particular situation and your budget. Then, we’ll take impressions and gather information to send to our laboratory. We want your denture to enhance your appearance and allow you the full function of your teeth. Ensuring that this occurs takes careful planning.

Most of our patients have several quick appointments involved in getting dentures. In total, it takes about 4-6 weeks.
